When I was a young lad not a lot older than my son is now, I began using coloring sheets as an activity I could do with my father. I really enjoyed working on them but I also enjoyed the one on one time with my father and having something we could do together. So you can imagine how keen I am to continue this tradition and now begin having fun with my boy and some coloring pages.

It can be hard to host a party or other gathering at your home if you don't have lots of activities for the kids to be involved with. You can have a supply of crayons, markers, colored pencils, and even water paints on hand. These will allow them to complete the Spongebob coloring sheets in a creative way.

There are pages based on TV shows and movies like the very popular Dinosaur Train, Diego, Ice Age 3, Land Before Time and Dinosaur King. Do you want to color Buddy and Tiny? What about Diego and Maia the Maiasaura. And don't forget Littlefoot.

Three Advices of the day!

First:

Dad and Mom, don't try to tell her that kittens aren't pink. Certainly there must be a kitten somewhere in the world that is pink. And if there is not yet then just wait until her creativity takes control of the situation. There soon will be. She will love coloring the kittens and princesses so much she may not want to stop. This is one activity that will be good to encourage as it will help her strengthen her mind in a fantastic creative manner.

Second:

You can find lots of coloring books that fall into this category with Winnie the Pooh featured in various scenes. He may be alone or with one of his many friends that are popular too including Tigger and Christopher Robbins. There are mini coloring books that will easily fit into your purse. They are ideal for long car rides, waiting at the doctor's office, or even as an activity at a restaurant while your family is waiting for a meal.

Third advice:

I have a ton of scrapbooks now, all filled with his completed pages. I suspect I will love looking through these when I am older. The rest will go up on the walls of the house, mostly in the lounge or conservatory I imagine. By showing them off proudly I want to make clear to my boy how precious they are to me. By this I am hoping to build his self-confidence which was something I still suffer a lack of, so am keen to give my son the best head start in life that I can. When we get visitors to the house, whether friends or family you can also be sure they will comment on the artworks and tell my son what a great job he did. It seems to be having a good effect to as he has started to become more outgoing and will talk to near strangers now about his works, whats colors he used etc. Whereas before he would have been quiet with some folks, now he often offers to make them one straight away so they can take it home with them!
